aspirus.org 3 Family Birthplace, ED inWisconsin Rapids Aspirus RiverviewHospital recently unveiled its newly renovated Family Birthplace and emergency department (ED). The newBirthplace features hotel-style suites with spa-inspired restrooms equipped with walk-in showers and whirlpool tubs. Each suite has two large flat-screen TVs, a comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa, amini-fridge, dimmable lights andWi-Fi. The new 17,000-square-foot ED has 16 rooms and features immediate bedding, which allows patients to be triaged at the bedside by an EMT or paramedic. The ED also features lab services and an imaging suite to ensure diagnostic services are immediately available. The Family House will be located on the corner of 28th Avenue andWesthill Drive, adjacent to the Wausau Hospital campus. Renovations to the existing building on that site will begin this summer. The Family House will provide a safe, affordable, temporary home-away-from-home for patients and families traveling to Wausau to receive their care. Wellness Campus inWausau Aspirus is building a downtownWausau clinic that will be part of a $40million health and wellness campus. The overarching plan includes three primary components: X X Extensivemodernization and expansion of the Woodson YMCA. X X Construction of an activity center for adults 55 and older. X X Development of a new Aspirus Clinic, which will be connected to the YMCA. The Aspirus clinic will provide primary and walk-in care as well as imaging and laboratory services. Rendering of Aspirus Family House New Aspirus clinic in Adams, Wisconsin NewClinic in Adams Aspirus opened a new clinic in Adams in January. The 7,500-square-foot clinic includes eight exam rooms and two procedure rooms as well as laboratory and imaging services. The clinic offers primary care services with space for specialty care in the future.
